研究生院“用英文讲好中国故事”演讲比赛是由深圳技术大学研究生院党总支举办的第二届研究生演讲比赛，首次采用了英文演讲的比赛形式。举办此次比赛，旨在深入学习贯彻党的二十大精神以及习近平总书记给青年学者回信中提出的“在坚定文化自信、讲好中国故事上争做表率”的重要指示精神，发展研究生核心素养，培养具有家国情怀、国际视野和跨文化沟通能力的应用型人才。
11月28日，由深圳技术大学研究生院党总支主办的“用英文讲好中国故事”演讲比赛在C5教学楼 102阶梯教室举行，党委宣传部部长钟鑫；研究生院党总支书记、研究生院副院长胡学娟；外国语学院英语教师、外语工作室主任王艺磬；2023级研究生各专业初赛优胜者和21、22、23级研究生共计百余人参加了本次活动，比赛由2022级材料工程专业研究生魏天宇主持。

研究生院党总支书记胡学娟为演讲比赛致辞。她表示讲述中国故事，传播中国声音，对于我们了解丰富多彩的中国文化，帮助研究生坚定文化自信具有重要意义。希望在“用英语讲中国故事”的舞台上，研究生们磨练本领，不断成长，展现中国特色、领悟中国智慧、弘扬中国精神，“用英文讲好中国故事”！
演讲比赛以“用英文讲好中国故事”为主题，围绕“中国特色”、“中国精神”和“中国智慧”三个方面,从传统智慧到现代创新、从中国北斗到中国航天、从杭州亚运到抗美援朝战争中的中国精神、新时代中国的伟大变革，中国的新技术让世界惊叹，我们从一个个故事中，感受中国特色，领悟中国精神，传递中国智慧。
本次大赛面向全体在读研究生征集优秀作品。经初赛选拔后，共有10名同学进入复赛。
评委对研究生们的演讲进行精彩点评。最终，易笑嫣获一等奖，付书娴、周芯蕊获二等奖，李美欣、谢木桦、阳世梅获三等奖，李娟、何玉芬、孙攀、郑怀锦获优秀奖。

钟鑫部长首先对所有参与活动的同学给予了肯定，同学们都充分展示自己的才华，分享了独特的中国故事，展现了我校研究生在习近平总书记谆谆教导下不断向上的精神和对祖国的热爱。钟部长同时为同学们演讲能力的提升提出几点建议：一是演讲内容要从自身经历入手，以小见大；二是增加眼神交流，多与观众互动；三是敢于脱稿演讲，自信开口。
外语工作室主任王艺磬老师点评：
王艺磬老师认为对于每一位参赛者来说，这都是一次难忘的经历和宝贵的自我提升机会。她强调了演讲的主题选择和故事表达的重要性，希望选手能够提炼出讲稿中心思想并用生动的故事来支撑。其次是演讲用词方面，尽量采用平易近人的语言，而避免晦涩拗口的词语。最后王老师给出提升表达技巧的建议，包括脱稿演讲、眼神交流、微笑，以及抑扬顿挫的语调控制。
“一个伟大的民族，不能没有传承；一个英雄的国度，不能没有故事。” 本次活动为研究生提供了展现自己的舞台，彰显了英语的独特魅力，在语言的交流和文化的碰撞中弘扬中国文化，让我们听见更多中国的声音！今后，研究生院党总支将继续引导学生用英语展现真实、立体的中国，用行动传承和弘扬中华文化、中国精神！
